Formation of Bengali as a Language group

Formation of Bengali as a Language group
Bengali: Language Group or Race?
The Bengali word Jati (RvwZ) refers to diverse meaning:
Religion
Caste
Nation
Ethnicity
So using the very Bengali term creates confusion at academic level.
The  identity of the Bengali people is much more focused on its cultural background rather than any physical or racial characteristics.
Language is the core for the formation of the people of this region as a single group.
Bengali: Racial complexity!
Bengali people are the mixture of different racial groups
Some scholars argues that their ancestors are from Austric origin.
But later on they developed a mixed physical composition of Pre-Dravidian, Dravidian and Aryan.
Language was the key-factor for establishment of a homogeneous group.
Bengali: Formation of Bengali community
The first origin of Bengali languahe is Magadhi Prakrito  or old Magadhi form.
then Magadhi
and finally Magadhi Apavrangsho
